Naked defense?
I couldn't resist. When does this become inappropriate? Someone should let me know. I just think his little bootie is the cutest thing ever. He does love the football. It has actually spent the night in his bed before.
The 3 1/2 of us are off to Peoria for a few days, where we will happily leave pictured child with grandma and grandpa while we travel to Chicago for some fun. See you when we get back!

Tweety student
We just finished a book phase. Every morning Elliot would burst into our room with a book, frantically wanting someone to read it to him. Once finished, he'd drop it and go get another. Here you see him reading at his desk, which he sits in at least once a day. I think, sadly, we've moved into a shoe phase. Now, before brushing our teeth, breakfast, or even saying good morning to papa (and this is a big deal), Elliot runs into our room with his shoes. A specific PAIR of shoes, which he must have on immediately, or the world will implode. He asked for a different pair of shoes today, but then quickly discovered his favorites. The others had to come off. This is the world of a 20 month old. Books. And shoes.
We've had some neon green snot and a fever for a couple of days, so we haven't seen much of other people around here. I think we're improving. A current fascination with the vaccuum cleaner(s) has made cleaning the house interesting. And the blow dryer was a hit today, too. Never a dull moment around here.
