And the verdict is in

This is the baby's first outfit, given to us by a friend who couldn't help herself. Who can, when it comes to girl clothes? We think this will belong to Elsie, probably legally "Elsa" so she has a grown-up name for job interviews and the like. And so it is, a boy and a girl. Of course, Elliot will probably beat her up, try to wrestle her, throw things at her, etc. What else is a brother for?

Our holocaust baby

Well, this baby is a bit scrawny, but they tell us that's fine. The baby only weighs 9 ounces and is about 10 inches long. So, you know, pretty much skin and bones. You can see the ribs. All of the organs and brain and bones and all of those things look normal. The fat, I guess, comes later.

New summer clothes

So, we went to Walmart the other day. This is the result. We're gearing up for summer, and I must say, a 19 month old with not much of a butt, a big belly, and this much padding is pretty entertaining. He didn't like the process of putting it on, but once in place, he played like a champ. Notice the socks along with the sandals. The kid's got style.

Have gun, will travel

This is Elliot's marshmallow gun. He absolutely loves it, though there haven't been marshmallows in it for awhile. He carries it around for fun. Papa loves to shoot him, and Elliot loves to be shot.
