Yes?

It just looked like that's what they were saying in this picture. Things are finally back to normal around here. After a bout of getting up every couple of hours, sometimes every hour, Elsie is once again back to being a normal baby. She's up usually twice a night now. This is doable. Elliot, on the other hand, is not hip to staying in his own bed lately. Last night he cried for about 45 minutes until finally giving up and letting me cover him up and go back to sleep again. This was from about 12:45-1:30am. The kid can persevere. Then at nap time today he finally did what I've been fearing for about 6 months. He climbed up and OUT of the crib, only to fall on his HEAD, hitting a wicker basket and the corner of a book. He looks like he got into a fight. It was pretty bad. I kept checking his pupils after that. I'm hoping that maybe it scared him enough that he won't do it again soon. That'll probably last about 3 days. We'll see. A big bed is not something I'm excited about. I'm sure it includes a lock on the outside of the door and a whole lot of screaming. But that's for another post. For now, both kids are sleeping and there's a glass of wine waiting downstairs. And a cute husband.

I am rather amazed that you got him to stay in it this long. You (Chris) learned how to climb out right about age 2! I woke up in the night and there you were staring into my eyes. I still haven't forgiven you for the scare you gave me!
